Care Groups Fall 2017

Starting Date: September 6, 2017

“Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness..” Galatians 6:1

Welcome to Faith Baptist’s Care Groups page. As you take time to read through the description of each class, please know these classes exist for the purpose of healing and restoration. The truth is we have an active enemy - we all face dailytemptations and challenges. But there is hope. We believe that hope lies in the love and healing of Jesus Christ which can be found on the pages of Scripture in the context of these caring small groups. Love Them To Life

When our children enter the bondage of addiction, it seems impossible to find any peace in our lives. Instead of still waters, we feel as if we are in the middle of a roaring river. This Care Group is a support group - created specifically for mothers - as they walk through the heart-wrenching experience of a child addicted to substance abuse. Dealing with topics such as denial, worry enabling, guilt, codependency and much more, this small group exists to help moms find their identity in Christ and find the strength from God to persevere.

Divorce Care

Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about issues you’ve never faced. This Care Group exists to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life - finding your authentic identity in Jesus alone. Each session has two distinct elements: a seminar with experts and support group with focus. The first half of the hour is spent watching a video seminar featuring a top ministry expert on divorce and recovery. Following the seminar, group participants spend time discussing what was presented, what they are facing and time in prayer together.

Life’s Healing Choices

We’ve all been hurt by other people, we’ve hurt ourselves and we’ve hurt others. As a result, every single one of us ends up with some sort of hurt, hang-up or habit. But the question we all face is, “Where do I go from here?” This Care Group offers freedom through eight healing choices that promise true joy and life transformation. As a small group built on privacy and trust, each week is an opportunity to fight against sin, grow through a deeper understanding of God’s Word and ultimately overcome addictions. Though addicitions may take many forms, the Bible promises victory through the power of the Holy Spirit.
