Kids Camp at the Grove was a highlight of the summer for Faith Kids ministry! A group of 185 1st-5th grade kids plus over 35 counselors joined us for an unforgettable week of fun as we grew closer together and closer to Jesus! Throughout the week, the best group of counselors out there invested their inexhaustible energy into making the week the best camp experience possible for the kids in their squads. Camp chants and flags for the individual squads provided team spirit and bonding (and not a few lost voices) for the 34 small groups as they participated in activities, devotions, worship, and meals together. Throughout the week, the campers had a chance to complete the high ropes course, take an adventurous plummet on the giant swings, paint each a rainbow of colors in paint wars, boat, play on the water obstacle course, speed down the giant slides, compete in gopher ball, and so much more. All while focusing on Jesus as we explored 2 Corinthians 4-6. It was a week to remember, and I’m grateful for a church that loves its kids well and supports this important ministry to the next generation!
